About the role:

We're looking for a Measurement & Psychometrics Expert with a broad range of methodological and quantitative skills to join our team. You'll be responsible for the end-to-end management of our survey operations, panel infrastructure, and data collection pipelines. This role is ideal for someone who combines rigorous survey methodology expertise with the ability to build scalable, automated systems in a fast-paced environment.

This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role — you'll be directly responsible for maintaining data quality, growing and optimizing our research panel, and ensuring our survey infrastructure supports excellent psychological measurement at scale.

Requirements:

PhD in a quantitative social science field, like Social Psychology, Cultural Psychology, Psychometrics, Demography, Political Science or related field
Deep expertise in sampling methodology:
- Probability and nonprobability sampling designs
- Weighting techniques (post-stratification, raking, calibration, propensity score adjustment)
- Survey design and question evaluation, including non-self-report measures (i.e. implicit measures, eye tracking, etc.)
- Panel management and longitudinal data collection
Strong technical skills:
- Proficiency with survey platforms (Alchemer, Qualtrics, Prolific, or similar)
- SQL for data extraction and database management
- Python or R for data processing, weighting, and analysis
- Experience with complex survey analysis (design-based inference, survey-weighted regression)
Experience managing research panels, including recruitment, retention strategies, quality monitoring, and representativeness evaluation
Data quality expertise: ability to implement fraud detection, attention checks, and data validation protocols

Strongly Preferred

Familiarity with demographic methods: population estimation, standardization, cohort analysis, decomposition methods
Understanding of Total Survey Error (TSE) framework and AAPOR best practices
Experience with cloud-based data infrastructure (AWS or similar)
Background in social psychology or behavioral science
Experience building automated data pipelines and reproducible workflows
